Lake Tahoe Ski Resort Webcams: 8 Resorts and Snow Reports

Choose a mountain below to open its official webcams and operating report. This directory covers Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, Palisades Tahoe and Alpine, Sugar Bowl, Sierra-at-Tahoe, Mt. Rose and Diamond Peak. Selected Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood players remain embedded farther down the page; the other resorts open on their operators’ websites.

Camera directories and report links checked September 7, 2026. This is a viewing directory, not an automated snow report. Check the timestamp inside each camera or report; this page’s review date does not establish that a picture is current.

Official Tahoe Resort Webcams and Lift Reports

Webcam: See the view. Report: Check lifts, trails and operating information. A moving lift, snowy slope or sunny base-area picture does not establish that the activity you want is open. Summer sightseeing and winter skiing need separate checks.

Choose the resort, then open the camera or report on its official website.

More Mountain Views: Choose the Right Camera

Palisades Tahoe and Alpine Webcams

The Palisades Tahoe webcam page separates Palisades and Alpine views. The listed options include Palisades Base, Palisades Scope and Far East, plus Alpine Peak, Race and Chalet. Select the mountain area you intend to visit instead of treating one base view as a picture of both. For lodging nearby, compare the Olympic Valley accommodation options.

Sugar Bowl Webcams

Open Sugar Bowl’s webcam directory for its Main Lodge, Mt. Disney and Mt. Disney East Face views. The same page also includes a Royal Gorge camera, which should not be mistaken for a view of Sugar Bowl’s downhill terrain. Check the operator’s report for snowfall figures and use our Donner Pass and I-80 camera guide for the separate road check.

Sierra-at-Tahoe Webcams

Sierra-at-Tahoe’s camera page lists Summit, Grandview, West Bowl and Plaza Deck views, followed by Caltrans road cameras. Select the mountain view for scenery and the road view for the approach. Our Highway 50 camera guide provides additional route views; mountain visibility is not a road-closure report.

Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe Webcams

The Mt. Rose mountain-camera page includes Main Lodge, Summit, North Views, Slide Bowl and Winters Creek Lodge. Compare the lodge and upper-mountain angles rather than relying on a single frame. Check the resort’s operating report separately, and use Nevada 511 for Nevada sections of your journey.

Diamond Peak Webcams

Diamond Peak offers separate summit, Snowflake Lodge mid-mountain and base-area camera pages. Choose the summit or Snowflake view for a lake panorama, and the base view for lower-mountain context. These are operator-hosted players, not additional embedded streams on this page.

Heavenly Mountain and Village Camera Players

Village and mountain are different views. The Heavenly Village webcam directory lists gondola, ice rink/mini-golf and Highway 50 options. Heavenly’s mountain-camera page lists Midstation at the Gondola and Top of Tram. Use the relevant operator page if an embedded feed below stops loading.

Heavenly Village Gondola

Ice Rink and Mini Golf: Heavenly Village

Open the Village’s own webcam players when either village feed is unavailable.

Top of Dipper: Heavenly Resort

East Peak: Heavenly Resort

Top of Tram: Heavenly Resort

Mid-Station Gondola: Heavenly Resort

Open Heavenly’s current mountain-camera options if a mountain stream is unavailable; available angles may differ. For a non-ski visit, use the Heavenly Gondola ticket and parking guide.

Northstar California Camera Players

Northstar’s official camera page lists Mt. Pluto Summit, Mid-mountain and Village views. It is the first alternative when one of the embedded Northstar feeds below is unavailable.

Northstar Mid-Mountain

Northstar Mount Pluto Summit

Northstar Snow Stake

Northstar’s snow and weather report says its snow-stake camera is cleared daily at 4:30 p.m. Read the image time and the operator’s measurement guidance before comparing it with another resort. A cleared stake is not evidence that the mountain has no snow.

Kirkwood Mountain Camera Players

Kirkwood’s official camera page lists Red Cliffs and an official snow-stake image near Chair 1. Use it for current viewing options if an embedded player is unavailable.

Kirkwood Red Cliffs

Kirkwood Cornice

The Cornice player is a retained feed. If it is unavailable, the operator’s camera page may offer a different angle rather than the same view. Check Kirkwood’s lift and terrain report for operations.

Snow Stakes and Camera Troubleshooting

Why is a webcam black, frozen or buffering?

Open the resort’s direct camera link in the table above, check the image timestamp and try a different angle. A working page can still contain an old or unavailable image. This directory does not certify continuous playback, and a frozen picture should not be used as a current conditions report.

Is a snow-stake picture the same as a 24-hour snow total?

Not necessarily. Read the operator’s reset time, measurement period and report. A stake cleared partway through your comparison is measuring a different interval. Use the resort’s published snowfall figures for the stated period rather than estimating a mountain-wide total from a single photograph.

Which cameras show Lake Tahoe rather than a parking lot?

Start with Diamond Peak’s summit and Snowflake Lodge views, or Heavenly’s mid-station viewing option. A scenic view is different from a road or lift-status check, and visibility depends on conditions at that camera.

Does this page embed cameras from all eight resorts?

No. It retains 11 selected player sections for Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood and links to official camera pages for all eight resorts. The five additional resort entries do not start more video streams here.

Check Your Drive Separately

For California roads, use Caltrans QuickMap or enter your highway number in Caltrans Highway Conditions. For Nevada roads, use Nevada 511. Follow agency notices and posted controls for your actual route; a clear-looking resort camera is not an all-clear for the drive.

Highway 50 and Echo Summit cameras | Donner Pass and I-80 cameras | North Shore road cameras | South Shore and Heavenly Village cameras.

Use the Lake Tahoe conditions directory for official forecast and air-quality sources alongside road reports. Check before departure, not while driving.

Choose a Resort and Plan Your Stay

Compare terrain, beginner options, passes and parking in our Lake Tahoe ski-resort guide, then choose lodging near your main activity. For a mixed group, use the winter activities guide for non-ski days. Return to the complete Tahoe camera directory for other lake and road views.
