North Lake Tahoe Live Cameras: Kings Beach and Tahoe City

Choose the Kings Beach camera at Highway 28 and Highway 267 or the Tahoe City camera at Highway 89 and Highway 28. These two Caltrans intersection views help you compare local traffic and visibility. They do not cover every North Shore road or show the full route over a mountain pass.

Camera source addresses reviewed September 7, 2026. Check any timestamp shown in the image or player. A source-review date is not an image-capture time or a guarantee that a feed is working.

Kings Beach Webcam: Highway 28 at Highway 267

This Caltrans view is at the Highway 28 and Highway 267 junction in Kings Beach. It is a road camera, not a beach panorama or a view of the entire Highway 267 approach.

Video alternative: Open Caltrans’s Kings Beach camera still. Check the time displayed on the image; the picture may be delayed or unavailable.

Tahoe City Webcam: Highway 89 at Highway 28

This is the Highway 89 and Highway 28 junction in Tahoe City. Do not confuse it with the Highway 50 and Highway 89 junction on South Shore, which is a different camera and road connection.

Video alternative: Open Caltrans’s Tahoe City camera still. A static image is not a continuous video stream.

Check the Rest of Your North Shore Route

Truckee and Donner Summit: Use the official I-80 camera links in our Donner Pass guide as well as these shoreline views. A clear intersection in Tahoe City does not establish conditions at the summit.

California roads: Open Caltrans QuickMap or Caltrans Highway Conditions. Check the highway numbers in your actual route, such as 28, 89, 267 or 80, and read the location limits of each notice.

Incline Village and Nevada roads: Use Nevada 511. The two California intersection cameras above are not Incline Village cameras. For weather and air-quality sources alongside the road tools, visit the Lake Tahoe conditions directory.

North Lake Tahoe Camera Questions

Why is the camera black, frozen or buffering?

Try the camera-still link beneath the player, then compare another camera in QuickMap. Streams and still images can both be delayed or unavailable. Use the official road report even when the picture loads successfully.

Do these cameras show Kings Beach and Tahoe City traffic?

They show the two named intersections, not a complete traffic report for either town. Use the location maps to check whether the view is relevant to your route.

Can a camera tell me whether chains are required?

No. Follow the latest agency notices and posted controls for your vehicle and route. Snow or clear pavement in one image is not an official chain requirement.

Are the still-image links saved photos uploaded to this site?

No. They open image addresses published by Caltrans. Check any image timestamp rather than assuming a picture is current merely because its address opens.
