South Lake Tahoe Live Cameras: Heavenly, Lake Views and Highway 50

Choose a South Lake Tahoe webcam for the view you need: the lakefront at Idle Hour, a Highway 50 intersection, Heavenly Village or a mountain location. Use the shortcuts below to find a view, then check its timestamp and location.

Directory updated September 7, 2026. Streams may be delayed or unavailable. The date of this page is not the time a camera captured its image, and this directory does not certify continuous playback.

South Lake Tahoe Cameras: Lakefront, City and Highway 50

Idle Hour Lakefront Webcam

This is a lakefront view, not a Highway 50 road camera. Open the Idle Hour view on Tahoe Weather Cam as an alternative to the embedded player.

Highway 50 at Ski Run Boulevard

Open the official Caltrans Ski Run player | Open the Caltrans camera still. Check any time displayed in the picture.

Highway 50 at Pioneer Trail (Eastbound)

Open the Pioneer Trail camera directly on Caltrans. This opens the official player for Highway 50 at Pioneer Trail. For an image fallback, open the Caltrans Pioneer Trail still and check its timestamp.

Highway 50 at Highway 89

Open the official Highway 50 and Highway 89 player | Open the Caltrans camera still. This South Shore junction is different from Highway 89 at Highway 28 in Tahoe City.

Lake Tahoe Boulevard and Tahoe Keys Boulevard

This is an existing third-party local feed. For a nearby highway view when it is unavailable, use the Highway 50 and Highway 89 camera or QuickMap. A nearby camera is not the same angle.

The Ski Run and Highway 89 playlist addresses and still-image links were matched to Caltrans’s District 3 CCTV data. The Pioneer Trail playlist and still-image links were matched to its official Caltrans player page on October 14, 2026. Other embedded source addresses have been retained rather than replaced with guessed URLs.

Heavenly Village and Mountain Webcams

Village versus mountain: The Shops at Heavenly Village webcam page lists Highway 50, gondola and ice rink/mini-golf views. Heavenly’s official mountain-camera page provides resort views and links to operating information. Check the operator’s current page if an older embedded stream stops loading.

Heavenly Village Gondola

Open the village webcam directory and choose Gondola.

Ice Rink and Mini Golf: Heavenly Village

Open the village webcam directory and choose Ice Rink/Mini Golf. A picture does not confirm admission hours or activity availability.

Top of Dipper: Heavenly Resort

For other mountain views when this stream is unavailable, open Heavenly’s current camera page. Available angles may differ.

East Peak: Heavenly Resort

Top of Tram: Heavenly Resort

Open Heavenly’s official mountain-camera page for the current Top of Tram viewing option.

Mid-Station Gondola: Heavenly Resort

Open Heavenly’s official mountain-camera page for its Midstation at the Gondola view. A mountain picture does not establish road conditions in town or whether sightseeing tickets are available.

Official South Lake Tahoe Road and Travel Reports

Before departure, check Caltrans QuickMap and Highway Conditions for California restrictions. Use Nevada 511 for Nevada sections of your journey. Read each notice’s location limits rather than treating one intersection view as an all-clear.

Crossing the mountain? Compare Echo Summit, Meyers and Twin Bridges. For forecast and air-quality sources, use the conditions directory. Check again before the return trip and never browse cameras while driving.

South Lake Tahoe Camera Questions

What should I do when a video does not load?

Use the direct operator or still-image link under the camera. For a highway restriction, go to the official road report rather than waiting for a player. Both video and still images can be delayed or unavailable.

Which views are useful for Heavenly Village?

Choose the Village Gondola or ice rink/mini-golf view. For a mountain panorama, choose a mountain camera instead. Check operating hours separately.

Are all 11 feeds official Caltrans cameras?

No. The page includes highway cameras and third-party lakefront, village and resort feeds. The operator links make that distinction clear.

Can I tell whether chains are required from a camera?

No. Follow current road-agency notices and posted controls for your route and vehicle. A clear-looking picture does not cancel a restriction elsewhere.
