October 2: Steel Pulse at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe
Visit Lake Tahoe’s current October 2026 guide lists Steel Pulse on October 2 in the South Shore Room at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. If you are combining the show with dinner or another event, keep the evening close to Stateline rather than planning a cross-basin return.

October 3 and 4: Camp Richardson Oktoberfest
This event’s October 3 and 4 dates have passed. Camp Richardson’s 2026 Oktoberfest was listed for the first weekend of October. See the remaining-date summary above for an upcoming outing.
This is one of the strongest family-friendly October events on South Shore. Parking pressure can build quickly, so arrive early or use the bike valet when practical.

October 3: John Oates and The Good Road Band
John Oates and The Good Road Band are listed for Saturday, October 3 at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. This date overlaps with the first day of Camp Richardson Oktoberfest, so visitors trying to do both should leave enough time for South Shore traffic, parking and dinner.

October 6: Get The Led Out at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe
Get The Led Out is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6 from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. in the South Shore Room at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. The show is a Led Zeppelin tribute performance.

October 10: Rumours of Fleetwood Mac
Visit Lake Tahoe currently lists Rumours of Fleetwood Mac at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe on October 10. For a concert-focused weekend, Stateline or central South Lake Tahoe is usually the simplest base because restaurants, casinos and several event venues are concentrated nearby.
October 15: An Evening With moe.
An Evening With moe. is listed for Thursday, October 15 at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. October nights can be near freezing even after a mild afternoon, so bring a warm layer if you expect to walk between your hotel, restaurants and the venue.
October 16 to 18: Minden-Tahoe SkyFest
Minden-Tahoe SkyFest’s scheduled October 16–18, 2026 dates at Minden-Tahoe Airport have passed. This section is retained for reference. Douglas County says the 2026 event will include the Patriots Jet Team, the event’s first after-dark aviation experience, ground displays and expanded family activities.
Minden is outside the Tahoe Basin. If you are staying at Lake Tahoe, treat SkyFest as a regional day trip and check weather and road conditions before choosing Kingsbury Grade or another route.

Bally’s Lake Tahoe is advertising the 47th Annual Freaker’s Ball for Saturday, October 31. Doors open at 9:00 p.m. The event is 21+ and includes DJs, live entertainment and a $15,000 costume-contest prize pool.

How to Plan an October Event Weekend
For South Shore concerts, hockey and Halloween
- Stay in Stateline, Heavenly Village or central South Lake Tahoe.
- Choose the event as the day’s anchor instead of adding a full-lake drive.
- Use the afternoon for a nearby shoreline walk, fall-color stop or meal.
- Check parking and walking distance before buying tickets.
For Camp Richardson Oktoberfest
- Stay on South or West Shore when possible.
- Arrive early and use bike valet if it fits your group.
- Pair Oktoberfest with one nearby fall-color or shoreline stop.
- Avoid adding North Shore plans to the same day.
For Minden-Tahoe SkyFest
- Treat it as a dedicated regional day trip.
- Check the event’s arrival and parking instructions before leaving Tahoe.
- Review weather and road conditions for the return trip.
- Keep the evening flexible if the airshow schedule runs late.
October Weather and Event Planning
October can shift from sunny fall weather to rain, wind or early snow with little warning. Outdoor events and mountain drives should always be paired with a same-day weather and road check.

- West Shore: Better for Camp Richardson Oktoberfest and fall-color-focused trips.
- Carson Valley / Minden: Consider it when SkyFest is the main purpose of the trip.
