The site provides general travel, recreation, news, planning, and destination information. It is not an official source for emergencies, weather warnings, road closures, wildfire information, avalanche conditions, boating rules, medical guidance, legal advice, or professional safety decisions.
Conditions around Lake Tahoe can change rapidly. Before traveling or participating in an activity, verify critical information with the responsible government agency, property owner, operator, resort, transportation provider, weather service, or emergency authority.
No Guarantee of Accuracy or Availability
We work to publish useful information, but we do not guarantee that every page is complete, current, error-free, continuously available, or suitable for a particular trip. Prices, hours, routes, access rules, reservations, parking, weather, water levels, trail conditions, camera feeds, business operations, and laws can change without notice.
Assumption of Risk
Travel, hiking, swimming, boating, skiing, snow play, driving, camping, and other outdoor activities involve risks, including injury, illness, property damage, severe weather, wildfire, smoke, cold water, altitude, avalanche, road hazards, and death. You are responsible for assessing conditions, ability, equipment, supervision, permits, insurance, and emergency planning.
Nothing on this site creates a guide-client, instructor-student, rescue, medical, legal, financial, or other professional relationship.
Permitted Use
You may use the site for lawful personal and informational purposes. You may share links to public pages and quote brief portions with clear attribution when permitted by law.
