I Love Lake Tahoe, operated by Cale Media, respects intellectual-property rights and reviews good-faith reports concerning text, images, video, trademarks, personal information, and other material published or embedded on the site.
Site Content
Unless otherwise stated, original site text, graphics, branding, page organization, and other original material are owned by or licensed to Cale Media. Third-party names, trademarks, photographs, videos, maps, camera feeds, and embedded material remain the property of their respective owners.
You may share links to public pages. Brief quotations may be used with clear attribution when permitted by law. Republishing full articles, substantial portions, original graphics, or a substitute collection of site content requires written permission unless an applicable legal exception applies.
Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe content on the site infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, send a written notice to [email protected]. A complete notice should include:
- Your full name and contact information.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- The exact site URL and enough detail to locate the challenged material.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices may delay review. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation can create legal liability.
What Happens After a Notice
We may review the material, request more information, remove or restrict access, replace or correct an attribution, contact the contributor, or decline a request when we reasonably believe the material is authorized or legally permitted. Removal does not necessarily mean that infringement occurred.
Counter-Notice
If your content was removed following a copyright notice and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice that includes:
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- Identification of the removed material and where it appeared.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed because of mistake or misidentification.
- Your consent to the jurisdiction required by applicable copyright law and your agreement to accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice, when those requirements apply.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We may provide a counter-notice to the original claimant and may restore material as allowed by law.
Trademark and Impersonation Concerns
To report misleading use of a name, logo, trademark, or identity, provide the page URL, proof of the relevant rights, and an explanation of the likely confusion or harm. Nominative references to businesses, destinations, agencies, and products may be permitted when used to identify the subject of reporting or commentary.
Privacy and Personal Information
Requests involving personal information, account data, comments, or privacy rights should be submitted through Your Privacy Choices. Requests to remove truthful newsworthy material may involve different legal and editorial considerations than privacy requests concerning account or contact information.
User-Generated Content and Repeat Violations
Users may not post material they do not have the right to share. We may remove infringing material and suspend or terminate accounts associated with repeated or serious violations, consistent with the Terms of Use.
Permission Requests
For permission to reproduce original I Love Lake Tahoe material beyond ordinary linking or brief quotation, email [email protected]. Identify the material, intended use, format, audience, and duration.
