Reno to Tahoe City & Palisades Tahoe: Airport Shuttle Guide

•

Travel information checked October 25, 2026. Confirm dates, availability and final prices with the operator.

For Reno airport transfers to Tahoe City or Palisades Tahoe, check North Lake Tahoe Express’s Red Route. This is the airport arrival leg of the trip. Your daily ride to ski and your connection to a rental home may be separate arrangements.

Choose a named stop, not just a town

The operator’s October 2026 timetable lists Tahoe City Transit Center, Olympic Valley/Palisades locations, Everline, Granlibakken and Sunnyside among the Red Route stops. Confirm which location is selectable for your dates. A reference to Palisades does not mean every address at both resort bases is served.

Have the property confirm the exact building and entrance. This matters for large resorts, rentals reached by uphill roads and accommodations advertised under a wider Tahoe City or Palisades area name. If someone will collect you, agree on the named shuttle stop and a way to contact them after landing.

Tahoe City stay or resort stay?

Staying in Tahoe City: book the airport leg to an offered town stop, then plan the route to your accommodation. For ski days, compare the morning bus with your lesson check-in time and leave room to collect equipment.

Staying in Olympic Valley: determine whether your property has a listed airport stop or requires a final transfer. A village stay may simplify some errands, but confirm how you will reach groceries, dinner and your return pickup.

Staying near Alpine: ask specifically about access to that base or address. Do not interpret a ticket to Olympic Valley as an included ride to every part of Palisades Tahoe.

Airport shuttle and local ski bus are different bookings

The TART Highway 89 route connects Tahoe City, Truckee and Olympic Valley, and its regional fare is free. Use the current timetable for the exact stops and direction. It is a local connection; the Reno airport leg requires its own arrangement.

On a return day, avoid a tight transfer from a ski bus directly to the airport shuttle. Collect your luggage first and give yourself time to reach the booked pickup. Check weather and road conditions the day before rather than discovering a disrupted connection after checkout.

Booking sequence

  1. Confirm the full lodging address and nearest offered stop.
  2. Check the outbound and return airport trips for your flight dates.
  3. Compare the total fare using our shuttle cost guide.
  4. Arrange the final transfer and save both confirmations.

Use the official Express booking page for availability. Our ski bus guide covers resort access, while the car-free guide helps plan meals and other outings.
