The fire has consumed 1,500 acres and destroyed six buildings. Over 30 agencies are currently responding to the blaze, with additional support on the way, as reported by Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue. In Washoe County, Nevada, the Washoe Valley fire near Davis Creek has expanded to 500 acres with no containment achieved so far. Evacuations are underway in the Galena area due to the fast-evolving situation caused by strong winds. Currently, I-580 is shut down in both directions between Lakeview near Carson City and the Mt. Rose Highway.
